Unit 9 Everything is made in China!Listening and speakingI. Teaching Analysis:vA)This period is the star of the unit, it is to review the knowledge of the Ss about the topic of the goods. I t mainly deal with the listening and speaking. As we all known the listening and speaking is very important for language learning, they always come in front of reading and writing. If the Ss can learn this period well, its easily for them to learn the rest of the unit. v vB) Our students from the countryside and lack of the environment to speaking English, so its necessary for us to create some situation for them to use the language.vTeaching Aims:vKnowledge aims: va) can use sentences v b) master the words v2.Aility aims :va) Ask for and give information on productsvb) can describe productsv3.Emotion aims: have a confidence about our country and proud for her.vII. Teaching Methods:v According to my analysis and the new standard of the new lesson, I mainly use Tasked-based Method and Communicative Method. Most activities are finished in groups.III. Learning Methods:vI will help Ss to use these strategies to finish these learning task:v 1. guessing what they will listen from the information given in titles and try to get the main ideav 2. try to get the main idea from the materialIV. Teaching Procedures:vStep 1: Lead-invT: Look at my dress, can you tell me what its made of?vS: Its made of cotton.vLets talk about what your clothes are made of?vSs discuss in groups and write down the words. (Write them in the cards)v(T goes around the groups and give the some tips)vStep 2: Show the pictures in the screen and try to do Activity 1 on Page 143.vStep 3: Create a situation: Mary is buying sth. in a shop, but its not easy for her to understand the question, can you help her?v(Ss begin to do Activity 2,T goes around and check the answers)vStep 4: Check the answers.vStep 5: Read the title of Activity 3, try to understand the meaning of the title and guess what they will listen.vStep 6: Listen to the tape and finish the two questions.vStep7: Check the answers and talk about the main idea of the listening material.vStep 8: Listen to the tape and try to fill in the blanks.v(for our students, T can pause in some related information.vStep 9: Check the answers and show in the blackboard.vStep 10: Listen again and the Activity 5.vStep 11: Read the dialogue one sentence by one sentence. (T: Pause the tape one sentence by one sentence.vStep 12: Have a competition: The Voice of Class Onev As we all know a TV program called The Voice of China, which is very popular in 2012 from Zhejiang TV. Today, we will use the music and pattern of it to have a competition, who will be the voice of Class one.v1. Every person read the dialogue in the group and choose the best voice of your group. v2. The groups nearly go together and read the dialogue and choose the best student whose can stand for the voice of your big groupv3. The four Ss chose from the groups go to the platform and stand in front of class. v4. Choose the four judges. v v5. They go to the platform and sit in front of the four Ss.v 6. Four Ss read the dialogue from one to one.v 7.
