These farms mainly extract the bears bile(胆汁)that are used in traditional medicine or for health-care products like shampoo. This practice is not necessary because there are chemical products that work the same as the bears juice. To remove this liquid the animals have a painful process sometimes as often as twice a day, causing them major stress that affects their natural development. Not only is the process of taking the stomach juices from the animals very painful, but also their living conditions are inhumane. Bears are put in tiny cages where sometimes they cant turn around or stand. They spend all their time in the cages. Before bears are old enough to produce enough juices to make the business successful, the cubs(幼兽)are trained to entertain tourists. Sometimes they are beaten and forced them to learn the tricks. The WSPA(World Society for the Protection of Animals), an organization recognized by the United Nations, fights against cruelty towards animals. They report that Vietnam has taken a huge step ahead by signing an agreement that promises to get rid of these bear farms. The Vietnamese government together with a WSPA committee will make sure that the goal is reached successfully.Leah Garces, the campaign director for WSPA states that this might mark “the beginning of the end of the bear farming industry”. WSPA has been trying for many years to get rid of this industry completely. The agreement not only makes sure that bear farms are not allowed, but also stops people from capturing bears and putting them in captivity. In addition to this, the Vietnamese government is going to build a bear rescue centre in the Cat Tien National Park.1. Whats the writers purpose of writing the passage?A. Some scientists recently have raised the question and begun to study if culture is only found in humans beings, or if some animals also have their own culture. What do we mean by culture when we talk about it? Culture is a common way of life a group of people follow. It contains the beliefs and attitudes we learn while growing up. The patterns of behaviour help a certain group of people to live together. The patterns of behaviour also make one group of people live in a different way from another group./ y Y7 T) n( x8 G2 The culture we have helps us to make up for having lost some of our defenses, such as strength, claws, long teeth. Human beings are able to make and use tools, cooperate with each other, and use language to communicate. However, these sorts of human behaviour, or culture, can also be found in the lives of some animals. Take using tools as an example. Some animals can do it. We used to consider that the ability to use tools divided human beings and other animals. Recent research, however, has proved that this is not the case. Chimpanzees(非洲小猩猩) cannot only use tools but also make tools themselves. Animals can also share their knowledge and communicate with their own language. So the line dividing humans from animals is not as clear as we used to think.6. What is the main idea of this passage?A. Which of the following statements is not true according to the passage?A. Chimpanzees cannot only use tools but also make tools themselves. B.
