Compare education system between the UK and the USAAmerican educations principle is that Each citizen should receive the best education and every one should get equal opportunity to receive at least some education and emphasis on education . Each state in the USA has its own laws about education. However ,Education is free and compulsory for all children between the ages of 5 (4 in Northern Ireland) to in the UK and it aims to develop full abilities of individuals. All school children must receive religious instruction and attend daily worship at school to cultivate the moral sense of pupils.Most American children begin school by kindergartens today because in most areas, free public school education begins with kindergarten classes for 4-year-olds andAmerican have three levels about education : elementary education, secondary education and higher Education. most state schoocls offer ten years of education and some offer twelve .Americans secondary is also called high school”. Students can More independence to choosing their own classes from a broad variety of courses. The curricula are basically two-fold:one being compulsory programs of sciences, the other being a variety of electives.But in the UK, it have four types of school .firstly , the state school is that includes Primary education (from 5 to11 year olds) and Secondary education( from 11 to 16 year olds).secondly, Secondary modern school , it gives general education, make a point of giving practical instructions useful for feature work. Study till 16 years old ,after that, students have the following choices to become workers or go to universities .Thirdly, Comprehensive school,it admit children without reference to their academic abilities. They provide a general education. Finally, select children at the age 11 through an examination called “the 11-plus”, in which those who get the highest marks go to grammar schools, study till 18 admitted to prestigious, key universities, high education.At last,about the USA and the UKs Graduate degrees: Bachelor, master and Ph.D.in the American, Two kinds for the masters degree:Time varies, usually for two yearsTypically, master candidates need to complete 30 to 32 credits of graduate courses with 20 of them in the major field of study.Working at the level is very individual. Graduate studies emphasize preparation for research or professional practice. In the UK, The first degree (the Bachelors degree) courses are mainly full time and last 3 years, except in Scotland where they take 4 years. 3精制
