Part 2 of this standard contains the necessary statements on selection of nominal size, installation, operation and maintenance of separator systems for light liquids.Annexes A and B are normative. The annexes C, D and E are informative.According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard : Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.1ScopeThis standard specifies definitions, nominal sizes, principles of design, performance requirements, marking, testing and quality control for separator systems for light liquids. This standard applies to separator systems for light liquids, where light liquids are separated from waste water by means of gravity and/or coalescence. This standard does not apply to the treatment of stable emulsions, solutions of light liquids and water, grease and oils of vegetable and animal origin.2Normative referencesThis European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this European Standard only when incorporated in it by amendment or revision.
