What struck me was that they have all suffered a lot. 二 我的发现:1) that在句中无词义，只起_作用；连接代词和连接副词在句中既保留自己的疑问含义、又起连接作用，在从句中充当_。2） 若that引导的主语从句直接位于句首，则that_省略；若that引导的主语从句位于句末，而在句首使用了形式主语it，则that_省略：3）表“是否”时，用在句首的主语从句只用_, 不用 _4）前面是主语从句，谓语动词用_三 我的讲解1. 主语从句与形式主语it 有时为了考虑句子平衡，通常在主语从句处用形式主语it，而将真正的主语从句移至句末。分以下几种情况：a. It +be +形容词(obvious, true, natural, surprising, good, wonderful, funny, possible, likely, certain, probable, important, necessary etc.)+that从句。如： It is certain that she will do well in her exam. It is probable that he told her everything. It is important that we should read more and more.b. It +be +名词词组(no wonder, an honour, a good thing, a pity, no surprise, etc.)+that从句。如：Its a pity that we cant go. Its no wonder that you are tired, youve been walking for hours. c . It +be +过去分词(said, reported, thought, expected, decided, announced, arranged, agreed, suggested etc.)+that从句。如： It is said that Mr. Green has arrived in Beijing. It is reported that China has sent another man-made earth satellite into orbit. It is suggested that we should carry out the reform in the following years.d. It + seem, happen等不及物动词及短语+that从句。如：It seems that Alice is not coming to the party at all. It happened that I was out that day. e. It + doesnt matter (makes no difference, etc.)+连接代词或连接副词引起的主语从句。如：It doesnt matter whether she will come or not. It makes no difference where we shall have the meeting. 2. that和what的选用that和what都可引导主语从句。what除了起连接作用外，还在名词性从句中充当某些成分，可作从句的主语、宾语或表语。而that在名词性从句中不充当任何成分，无词义，只起连接词作用。如：What he wants is a book. That light travels in straight lines is known to all.四 我的练习 1. 用适当的连接词填空1) _ they will talk about the matter wont make too much difference. In fact, it is the attitude not the place that matters. 2) It hit me suddenly _I had forgotten her birthday. 3) It is still unknown _ caused the accident last Saturday. 4) _ wants to stay in a hotel has to pay their own. 5) - What made her so sad? - _ she failed in the English contest. 2. 完成句子1). 他是如何设法成功的仍然是个迷。 _is still a mystery. 2) _(是否在户外开晚)in the open air tomorrow depends on the weather.
